Children's Dentistry

Your child's early experiences at the dentist can help shape the future of their oral health. We are pleased to offer comprehensive children's dentistry in a warm, comfortable and friendly office setting.

A FOCUS ON PATIENT EDUCATION

At DiSanto-Rose Dental, we believe that a big part of children's dentistry involves teaching patients how to properly care for their teeth. Children will learn their most important oral hygiene habits including:

* Brushing

* Flossing

* Proper diet and how to avoid tooth decay

Our team of dedicated dental professionals will provide gentle and thorough treatment for the children and will do our best to create a most positive dental experience for them.

Some frequently asked questions are:
What Is The Best Age For A Child To See A Dentist?

Between the ages of one and two years old, we offer a complimentary first visit in which we will review brushing, diet, and fluoride supplements. We will also evaluate your child's tooth development and airway, and will discuss any habits that he or she may have. Our goal is to make your child feel comfortable with our office and staff and to create a positive dental health experience.

What Is The Best Age To Have An Orthodonic Exam?

Recent studies have shown that between the ages of 6 and 7 years old is the recommended time for the ortho exam.

If a child has an under bite (protruded lower jaw), crossbite, thumb habit, or a breathing problem (mouth breathing, snoring, allergies, asthma), a dental visit between the ages of 2-4 would be indicated.
